I'm pretty much satisfied with my current job. Although the pay is not high, it didn't bother me until my recent SMS 'conversation' with my galfren. One fine day, I decided to message her cos' it has been a while since we meet up.

Me: How's ur new job? Happy?
GF: Yupz! A bimbotic job. But who cares? The pay is good.
Me: Haha.. good for you. Hope that the pay will compensate for whatever shit you are getting.
GF: Yah. Will get the hang of the job soon. You? How's your job?
Me: Oh great! I love my job! Just got a little pay increment. :)
GF: Good! Is it $2K yet? Cos' if it's less than that, then you are underpaid and it doesn't matter whether or not you are happy.
Me: Erm.. pay is not that important to me. At least i can see an advancement. My colleague juz got promoted even though she's been here less than a year.
GF: Oh. Then when's your turn?
Me: Erm.. soon?
GF: Okay, keep me inform then.

Suddenly I feel that I'm earning peanuts.......
